MR Cricket Hockey announced as new ERHA East Region Hockey League Sponsor
The East Region Hockey Association (ERHA) has announced the new official title sponsor for its East Region Hockey League will be the sports retailer MR Cricket Hockey.
The multi-year deal will see the competition rebranded as the MR Cricket Hockey East Region Hockey League until at least the end of the 2022/23 campaign. 550 teams play in the 55 division league, making it one of the largest amateur sports leagues in the country.
“We’re very excited to be named title sponsors of the East Region Hockey League,” said Merrick Fuller, MR Cricket Hockey Director, “outdoor sports are an essential part of staying healthy both physically and mentally, and it’s a real honour to be able to support the development of hockey in these trying times.”
The company offers a range of services from its website mrcrickethockey.com including products for individuals and services supporting clubs with their kit and teamwear needs. It also has a large store based in Burwell, Cambridgeshire.
ERHA Development Director Stuart Burnside said: “The ERHA is delighted to welcome MR Cricket Hockey as the league’s title sponsor. Finding new commercial partners willing to invest in the game despite the headwinds from the pandemic reaffirms hockey’s wide appeal. We anticipate using the sponsorship revenues to invest in developing access to our sport, with a particular focus on state schools.”
“We look forward to working with MR Cricket hockey over the next three years to build on the success of the competition and create many more memorable matches for us all to celebrate.”
